Matured intially in second fill American oak, ex-bourbon casks, followed by a period of maturation in first fill Spanish oak, ex-sherry butts.
Full bodied with aromas of seasoned oak. baked red apples and fruicake, followed by warming vanilla and ripe tropical stone fruits. Rich and balanced.
Slightly oily in texture. Ground spices and old hardwood strike first chords in this elegant and rewarding dram, building up to brighter flavour of tinned pineapples, bitter orange peel and honey.
