KnockdhuDistillery, established in 1894 and one of the smallest and most enchanting in the Scottish Highlands, is renowned world over by malt enthusiasts for producing a Single Malt that makes every day a special occasion.
The KnockdhuDistillery nestles under the mysterious Knock Hill, known to locals by its Gaelic name anCnoc. Curiously, the Single Malt produced from the KnockdhuDistillery is not named after the Distillery. It is proudly named after the anCnoc, which provides the source of the pure crystal spring water that is an essential element of anCnocSingle Malt Scotch Whisky.
Maturation:
American oak barrels and hogsheads, finished in sherry butts.
Colour:
Dark Amber.
Nose:
Sweet honey and tropical fruit, notes of cinnamon and rich toffee, delicate campfire smoke.
Taste:
Toffee apples coated in warming spices, deep vanilla, a rich, sweet, smoky character. Long wood smoke, caramel, vanilla finish.
Finish:
A long finish of wood smoke, caramel and vanilla.
